You’ll Never Have a Problem with a Claim at Gadue’s

by aline on June 17, 2014

Gadue's Claims PolicyHow is Gadue’s Dry Cleaning fundamentally different from other dry cleaners you may know? Well, for one thing, Gadue’s handles claims better than anyone else.

How so? Simple: We put our relationship with our client first.

Here at Gadue’s, we handle more than 10,000 garments every week. That’s a lot of pieces. And, like anyone, we’re going to screw up sometimes–even though we have all kinds of systems in place to minimize mistakes. (We’ve had almost 40 years to hone our operations, after all.)

Consider these simple calculations: With our workflow, even a 99.9% success rate would  result in us ruining 10 garments a week. Since we’re not wrecking 10 garments a week, we’ve got better than a 99.9% success rate.

That kind of track record doesn’t mean we take the rare mistakes lightly. If we do damage a garment, we reach out to the client and we pay for it. And by that we mean we offer the full replacement value, not some depreciated calculation. Sometimes we end up paying for a garment that was damaged due to an incorrect care label, even though it should be the manufacturer’s responsibility. And sometimes we pay for a garment that the client unknowingly damaged—only the damage doesn’t become visible until after the cleaning, as often happens with moth holes and some occurrences of color loss. In some instances, we pay for things we know we didn’t do–because the most important issue for us is the relationship we have with our clients.

Gadue’s rarely makes a mistake, but when we do, we deal with it honestly and directly. Doing our very best almost always means pristine, beautifully cleaned clothes returned to you on time—but every so often it means taking responsibility for an error. Even when we stumble—or cover for somebody else’s stumble—we want you to be impressed by our service.

Our clients are everything to us. Let us prove it to you!
